Steam Client With Full Steam Cache Win32 Error
Yesterday, when I tried to launch my Steam client, the Steam update dialog appeared for a second, then disappeared. Then, nothing. After a few seconds, the highlight on the Steam icon on my taskbar disappeared.Since then, I've never gotten the client to load.
It's always the same thing-the update window appears and promptly vanishes. The highlight on the Steam icon disappears. If I wait around five minutes, the window saying it's logging me in appears. If I wait around ten minutes, a black rectangular window appears, which I presume is the main client window.
If I wait several hours, I can see my library appear in that rectangle. But if, at any point, I click anything, it appears to completely hang. I've only gotten the client library window to fully appear once, when I left it open all night, but it was completely unresponsive. Most of this time, the client stays 25% CPU usage. Here's what I've tried to remedy the problem.
